Introducing Spotlight & Lightbox

Share

spotlight

Spotlight and Lightbox are two new features that will be in the upcoming ZBrush4 release. Spotlight will give you live  interaction with images directly onto your model for use as texture, sculpting, and references. Have the power to search billions of images with Lightbox all within ZBrush’s interface. With these two new features in ZBrush4 the artist will have a workflow that truly makes them feel like they have the world at their finger tips. The only thing left for you is imagination.

Introducing GoZ

GoZ breaks down the walls of importing/exporting into other applications. GoZ will give the artist an one click feature that will send all displacement maps, normal maps, texture maps, and geometry from ZBrush into other applications. Currently GoZ works with Maya, Modo, and Cinema4D with many more to come. With this tool you can will be released from the technical equation of figuring out those map settings that we are all so eager to work with as an artist.

Pixologic Action Heroes at the Gnomon Gallery

Share

banner

Pixologic was proud to work with the Gnomon Gallery on June 6th to open the PIXOLOGIC ACTION HERO GALLERY. It was a great night with several Action Hero Contestants attending the event to discuss the various pieces on display. The Gallery included 21 2D pieces and 6 3D pieces from the Pixologic Action Hero Contest. Also at the event was Axiotron which their Modbook that went to the Grand Prize winner and NextEngine Scanners which was given to the First Place winner in the contest.

I would like to thank everyone that was involved in the event and most of all this event would not of been possible without all the artists that participated in the contest. It was an exciting contest that gave so much inspiration to us at Pixologic. We can not wait to start up the next contest and sit back to watch what you the ZBrush artist will imagine next.

We have put together a little slide show of the event for those of you that could not attend. Hope you all enjoy (Thank you Cameron and Konrad):

ZBrush Printed on Wood

Share

maximus_forums

I wanted to share this exciting new technology from Maximus. Using their robot that can sculpt out a ZBrush piece as large as 3Meters or 120 inches and on several materials such as wood, stone, modeling materials, bronze, brass, just to name a few this really gives me ideas for ZBrush sculpts. Thanks to Fabricio Torres for sharing with me this amazing technology that was used to print out his ZBrush Gorilla sculpt.

With the use of the new Decimation Master and 3D Printer Exporter CLICK HERE FOR PLUGINs you the artist now have a way to create within in ZBrush but still output to a medium that is real world. I look forward to seeing more results from Maximus.

Please check out more information on Maximus here:
