Spinning Into Orbit Inside The Turntable Gallery



Vladimir Silkin’s aka Heat3d’s newest addition to the Turntable Gallery is reminiscent of 1980’s Macross and Robotech toys. Silkin’s latest piece, gives us a chance to capture a little nostalgia with a fast forward approach inside ZBrush. The hard surface capabilities inside ZBrush have grown exponentially with the introduction of features like Panel Loops. Now, you can generate plates and components in a fraction of the time typically associated with complex non-organic modeling.

New DVD From Eat 3D: ZScripting with ZBrush



Eat 3D has released another DVD in their line of ZBrush training. In “ZScripting with ZBrush,” instructor Nick Miller gives a comprehensive introduction of ZScripting with ZBrush. He starts from the basics by showing how ZScripts are structured and going through the most common commands. From there Nick shows how to build a functional interface, how to correctly use routines and secondary actions for buttons, and how to use more complex commands such as variable lists and saving & loading files and preferences. Kris “Antropus” Costa is a senior digital modeler & has worked as a character animator, texture artist & / or digital modeler in productions such as The Avengers, Transformers, Pacific Rim, Rango, Barnyard, Pan’s Labyrinth, among others. Winner of two CGTalk 3D Grand Prizes, the biggest online CG competitions of this kind. His works, texts and interviews published in several websites, books and magazines. New Turntable from Celso Teixeira



Our newest member of the Turntable Gallery, Celso Teixeira, got his first taste of 3D in 2006 and has been addicted ever since. Relying heavily on features like DynaMesh and ZSpheres, Celso’s characters are mostly done in ZBrush. And with the addition of QRemesher, he finds himself going to other 3D applications less and less. Check out a few of his characters at our turntable gallery and see more of his work in progress and final renders at his user gallery at ZBrushCentral.
