ZBrush 4R2 introduces the amazingly powerful Dynamesh feature for base mesh creation. But what about when you are sculpting on an existing model and wish to make fairly significant changes to the model but also don’t want to keep your existing edge flow? Enter the Move Elastic brush!
This brush not only moves points on the surface to add volume, it also analyzes the existing topology and relaxes the polygons to minimize stretching.
There are actually four brushes that share this basic functionality, doing so in slightly different ways so as to accommodate most any situation your particular needs might create: Move Elastic, Move Parts, Move Topological and Move TopoElastic. All of these further enhance your creative freedom within ZBrush, allowing you to explore new ideas with fewer limitations.
