Creature Sculpting & Exploration of Forms – Brett Briley “Spark” – Episode 7

For this demo I started from a scanned head using ideas from the shapes of the head to start on my alien. Using those shapes I showed how to use spheres to kit bash ideas into the design, masking to look for form, and alphas to flesh out the details in the sculpt. After sculpting, I went into PolyPaint using a more earth tone base, and slowly filling out forms jumping values and blending until I was happy with the detail. Finally I showed a quick tutorial on how to pose to bring in a little asymmetry to the end design.
