The Aaron Sims Company is synonymous with producing concept designs for some of the industries most beloved films. Recently, they played a role in bringing an old favorite back to the big screen. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles defined a generation and spawned a myriad of spin-offs and a long-lasting cartoon series. As cultural icons go, you can’t argue with the foursome’s staying power.

In a recent interview with ComicBookMovie.com, Aaron Sims Company artist, Jared Krichevsky sat down to discuss the studios process for how the turtles came to life. Working side by side with other Aaron Sims Company ZBrush artists, Jared Marantz, Andrew Domachowski, Cameron Ward, Kelton Kram and Tsevtomir Georgev provided the framework for what these icons would eventually look like on screen. Motion capture duties saw the talented men and women of ILM take control of the reigns. If you haven’t seen the film, be sure to strap yourself in for a wild ride. Cowabunga!
