A description of how you used ZBrush to make this piece:
95% of this was done in ZBrush, the entire body is one mesh, the head, hands and tail are separate sub tools.
I'm a self-taught artist. I've always enjoy drawing, always taking with me a drawing pad and pencil where ever I go. I've just recently graduated from University, am currently job hunting. I have been doing some odd freelance jobs here and there for the past few years, just for experience.
My interest in 3d started back when I was 16. It was game art that caught my eye. I joined an indy development team just for fun. Without any 3d knowledge, I became their concept artist and tried to learn 3d from the other guys on the team.
I wasn't very good at hard surface modeling (and still am not), I find it very tedious. It wasn't until 2 years ago when I discovered ZBrush, I really started to delve into 3d. ZBrush made 3d a lot more creative and fun for me, it’s like concepting and building at the same time. It’s all very flexible and easy to make changes that completely redefine a character.
