Industrial Light & Magic and ZBrush featured in Disney World Backlot Tour

Industrial Light & Magic and Disney feature the use of ZBrush in a video about the creation of Davy Jones in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest, part of the Walt Disney World Backlot Tour. A while back Pixologic.com featured an interview with ILM on the use of ZBrush for the creation of the characters in Dead Man’s Chest and their details, such as their wrinkles and the barnacles and sea creatures covering them. In the video above from the Disney World exhibit, Hal Hickel discusses how ILM was able to achieve the incredible realism of Davy Jones and the CG pipeline.
