Residents of West Newbury Massachusetts will have the chance to attend a ZBrush class being presented by Pentucket High School senior Cecilia Smith. Smith is the winner of the Pentucket Arts Foundation’s Passion for the Arts grant for 2015. As the winner, last summer she spent a week studying digital sculpture at Gnomon School of Visual Effects. Smith is now fulfilling the ‘community connection’ component of the grant in which grantees agree to share what they’ve learned in a creative and meaningful way with their peers and the Pentucket community. The classes she is holding will be from 2:45 to 4:45 p.m. at Pentucket High School on Jan. 26 and Feb. 2, with an open studio on Feb. 9. The class is recommended for those 15 years and older, but open to all ages. No prior digital sculpting experience is necessary.

Contact Pentucket art chairwoman Marcia Nadeau at [email protected] with questions or to secure a seat. Space is limited.
