2B from NieR Automata #10: preparing for 3D printing part 1 – Fan Art sculpting with ZBrush

This is the tenth part of the fan art figurine creation series that was broadcasted on ZBrushLIVE. Using ZBrush, Thomas digitally sculpts 2B of the NieR Automata video game using fan art as reference.

For this sessions, Thomas focused on the preparation of the 3D printing process: preparing the models for boolean operations, creating the various thickness or simply creating closed shapes as well as various minor refinments which can have a great impact on the printing process and post-process.
At the end of the stream, Thomas will explain how to prepare the model in Preform, the software for the Form2 3D printer, including some explanation about how the SLA 3D printing process work.
